Pozápasové ohlasy po finálovém zápase mezi Kanadou a USA od útočníka Američanů, jímž je Declan Farmer.

Zaprvé gratuluji k zisku doublu tady v Ostravě. A v podstatě i triplu se započítáním paralympiády v roce 2018. Jaké jsou vaše pocity? Jak se nyní cítíte?
Jsme nadšení. Vítězství je nejlepší pocit. Jsme opravdu neskutečně nadšení. Tady v Ostravě to byl opravdu skvělý turnaj. Byla tu velká zábava – zábava být zpátky na ledě, soupeřit, vidět svět, udělat nějaký pozitivní krok po covidové době. A jsme velmi šťastní a vděční za to, že můžeme být součástí něčeho takového.

Jak byste srovnal šampionát z roku 2019 a ten letošní?
Myslím, že rozhodně rozdílná hra o medaile. V roce 2019 jsme zvítězili v prodloužení, tentokrát se nám proti Kanadě dařilo mnohem víc, ale někdy se tohle prostě stane. Kanada je skvělý tým, ale my byli dneska na vlně. Je také stále skvělé tu vidět něčí fanoušky i přes covidové omezení. Jsme prostě rádi, že se svět opět otočil.

Jak byste popsal vaši cestu turnajem?
Určitě to byl špatný začátek. Prohrát první zápas s Kanadou. Byla to naše první hra po 16 měsících, nebyly žádné exhibiční zápasy.

Poslední otázka. Jak budete slavit vítězství?
Užijeme si tu se spoluhráči posledních pár hodin. Musíme stihnout autobus, který nás za 3 hodiny odveze. Takže si užijeme nějakou legraci.
